PRACTICAL NURSING
 Upon completion of the program and passing the licensing examination, the LPN can enter the workforce as a competent, skilled nurse. Practical nurses provide bedside nursing care at the direction of physicians and/or registered nurses. The practice of practical nursing is based on concepts from the physical, biological, and behavioral sciences. Each state has its own nurse practice act, so the scope of practice varies from state to state.
As a licensed professional, the LPN uses the nursing process for patient assessment, to contribute to the nursing diagnosis made by the RN and for planning, implementation, and evaluation in providing care.
LPNs are integral to nursing. They provide individualized care in a variety of healthcare settings such as acute care, long-term care, home health care, and other community healthcare agencies.
Practical nursing students benefit from extensivehands-on learning in one-year programs. Much of their preparation for nursing focuses on supervised clinical experiences with real clients in real health care facilities. This clinical component of education is one of the major strengths of the practical nursing program.
Because of the versatility in their study, LPNs are among the most patient-focused members of any health care team.How long is the program?
Our Practical Nursing Program is 50 weeks long.Will I receive hands-on, real world job experience?
In addition to the realistic laboratory environment Concorde provides, we also offer hands-on working experience called Clinicals. These Clinicals take place in a variety of healthcare environments where the student will train next to working health professionals. Our Practical Nursing Clinicals consist of 955 hours.What skills will I learn?

We could tell you... "Absolutely." But, what we prefer to do is to encourage you to do the research yourself. Get a copy of your local newspaper and read through the Healthcare job listings. Look  for your potential job category and see for yourself how many great opportunities will be available to you when you complete your Concorde training. Jump online and search some of the excellent job resource websites for opportunities in your field. The jobs are out there... so don't wait any longer if you want to work in Healthcare. Come to Concorde and we'll prepare you quickly and thoroughly for your new career.

We know how important this question is to most of you. We have found that our program costs may change slightly with each new session. For that reason, we are unable to provide cost information on our website. We are, however, very happy to discuss our current program costs with you personally. Please give us a call anytime.
